Qeshm Institute of Higher Education (QIHE), being vested with the mission of providing avenues of higher education at an international level of excellence, is established on Qeshm Island. QIHE would accommodate foreign students from neighboring countries, in addition to local students who might otherwise seek similar programs abroad. The international climate and the presence of teaching staff and students from other countries, would provide an international environment to facilitate the exchange of scientific achievement.
QIHE began its activities by offering the Carleton University's Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Qeshm Island as from September 2001. The program followed an agreement of academic cooperation between the Qeshm Free Area Authorities and Carleton University of Canada.
Since Sept 2008 Carleton's Sprott School of Business started a new MBA programme in which there are Core Courses and various Concentrations. The Concentration which is offered in Iran is International Business.

Latest News (May 2010): The third Alumni Gathering of the MBA graduates of Carleton/QIHE was held on May 6th in Goleh-Yass Restaurant. This gathering was different from previous ones in the sense that Prof Jerry Tomberlin, the Dean of Sprott School of Business, was present there and delivered a speech for the keen audience. |
